Hello all, I am going to be posting a series of articles on composition on my website, with the first one up now. It’s a review of an excellent book, “The Photographer’s Eye” by Michael Freeman, which gives a concise overview of the elements and theory of design and composition. Enjoy and please don’t forget to visit all of our galleries here on Circle Stock Images.

Hello all. I’m David Boswell, a photographer based in Tucson, Arizona and one of the newest contributors to Circle Stock Images. I specialize in travel and nature photography, both internationally and in the US, with a focus of Arizona, of course. I try to travel regularly, with 1-2 international trips/year and at least that many domestically. Some current upcoming plans include the French Quarter in New Orleans for Halloween, backpacking into the Grand Canyon in November, trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal next spring, and South Africa for a safari and Victoria Falls next October so keep your eyes peeled for future postings and images from those trips.
I am currently working feverishly to populate my website with content, adding regular blog posts on photography, travel, and nature. I am also adding slideshows and movies of the locales I have photographed. My most recent posting is a travelogue slideshow chronicling my climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. Recent postings include a brief look at graffiti, the theories for the retreat of the glaciers on Mount Kilimanjaro, and a look at my workflow when processing photos. Please visit my site for my unique look at this beautiful, endangered planet we live on. Please view my images in Circle Stock Images’ Galleries and click on the photo below to link to my latest slideshow.

German photographer Olaf Protze has continued uploading new images of South East England and the British Midlands to the England image collection. Those images were taken during his 3 month trip through large parts of England, covering about 80 locations countrywide. There are still plenty of images, to be processed within the next few weeks before he will continue working on his Italian images of Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Umbria and Marche
Old Market Place of Nottingham, England
Kessingland Marsh Landscape, East Anglia, England

Since the London region has not been part of his portfolio yet, and in anticipation of image requests before the Olympics in 2012, Olaf is planning a 4 weeks photo trip to London next spring, to take fresh and up-to-date images of the region. For picture requests please contact him at .

The unique Song Festival (shown above) is an event where one choir of 35 000 singers combined with an audience of about 60 000 people people all sing together, thinking and breathing as one. This gives a total of 100 000 people performing in harmony which in a country of just 1.4 million people is something of a small miracle.
The Estonian Song Festival (In Estonian: Laulupidu) is one of the largest amateur choral events in the world, a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The event is held every five years in July on the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds (Lauluväljak) and can only bee seen in the Baltic States. The joint choir has usually comprised 25,000 singers while in 2009, there were more than 30,000 participants performing to an audience of 80,000.
In his collection you can also find an inspiring collection of stock photos from Europe, Italy, Spain and the US National Parks, below are just a couple of examples of his work.
